Goran Višnjić stars as Garcia Flynn on the new NBC drama "Timeless."
The Croatian-born actor has received critical acclaim and commercial success in theater, television and film. Best known for his role as Dr. Luka Kovač in the long-running NBC hospital drama "ER," Višnjić continues to tackle some of Hollywood's most challenging roles.
On television, Višnjić most recently starred alongside Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Mitchell and Tom Wlaschiha on the international action-crime series "Crossing Lines." He was also seen on Steven Spielberg's futuristic thriller "Extant," starring opposite Halle Berry, and in "Red Widow," alongside Clifton Collins Jr., Radha Mitchell and Jaime Ray Newman.
Višnjić's latest feature film role was in "Asthma," about New York's indie rock scene, co-starring Krysten Ritter and Joey Kern. Other film credits include "The Deep End," "The Counselor," "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," "Beginners," "Committed," "Practical Magic," "Rounders," "Welcome to Sarajevo" and a segment for the anthology film "New York, I Love You." He also provided his voice to the blockbuster hit "Ice Age."
After performing in local theater groups as a young adult, Višnjić began his career starring as the lead in Shakespeare's "Hamlet" at the internationally acclaimed Dubrovnik Summer Festival in Croatia. His performance earned him an Orlando Award (the equivalent of the Tony Award).
